Established in June 2000 and headquartered in Beijing, Galleon's operation in China has a wireless short-messaging service (SMS) and multi-media messaging service provider, which holds nationwide SMS billing codes for major groups such as China Mobile and China Unicom.
It is a leading content aggregator in the mobile games sector with distribution across the whole of China and with 30 million registered it is one of the top 10 largest mobile service provider in China.

In October 2008 Galleon acquired this operation to strengthen the Group’s media infrastructure in emerging markets and to provide complete multiplatform media solutions to Chinese broadcasters.
